Run by Coach Kyle Bensen out of Darien Ice House, Rising Stars is a unique learn-to-skate program that instills confidence right from the start.

With the use of games and interactions with their peers, this playground on ice offers a positive experience for first-time skaters.

Specifically designed for children from ages 3 - 5 years old, no prior experience is required.

While we do not recommend a full hockey equipment package for your child, we do require elbow and knee protection along with a hockey helmet with a face mask, a hockey stick cut and taped to proper height with CHILD’S NAME ON IT, and a neck guard. Winter gloves or mittens are ideal for beginners so they can hold onto a cone.

Hockey skates should be checked for proper fit instead of a hand-me-down "that's close" in fit.
